A Week in the Life of a Real Estate Agent 🌟
People often ask me: “So, what’s it really like to be a Realtor?”
Well, here’s the behind-the-scenes scoop from this past week. Spoiler: it’s part deal-making, part detective work, part landscaping—and never boring.
Networking That Actually Works
I went to a local investor event and met someone who wasn’t exactly thrilled with their current agent. By the end of the night, they’d decided to work with me instead. (Not going to lie—that’s a pretty great feeling.)
We signed the listing contract, and I walked the property. Let’s just say: it’s an “investor special.” Translation? Lots of potential, but also a long punch list. Exactly the kind of challenge I thrive on

Marketing, With a Side of Landscaping
First order of business: professional photos. Got them taken, edited, and the property posted to the MLS. But marketing doesn’t stop there. I hit another investor networking event to spread the word, handed out cards, and even played amateur arborist.
Yes, I trimmed trees. Why? Because if the “For Sale” sign is hiding behind a mini-forest, is it really “For Sale”? Exactly.

📞 Ring, Ring… Offers Incoming
Once the listing went live, my phone turned into a 24/7 hotline. Calls, texts, emails—everyone wanted the scoop. I scheduled showings, answered questions, and started receiving offers. Some were solid, others… let’s just call them “ambitious.”
But that’s where strategy comes in. I guided my seller through counteroffers, helping him weigh the pros and cons. And here’s a fun twist: a Realtor from Orlando drove all the way up here just to check out the property. Now that’s dedication.

🚪 Detective Hat, On
My seller casually mentioned the vacant lot next door. Cue my inner Sherlock Holmes. After some digging, I tracked down the owner and made the call. It wasn’t exactly a warm chat, but I left my info. Who knows? Maybe in a few weeks that seed turns into something big.

💬 Beyond the MLS
Posting a listing is step one, but I never stop at step one. I joined local investor Facebook groups, attended a training, and tapped into my network. One of those connections came through with an offer higher than anything else we’d seen. That’s the power of people.

The Big Picture
Here’s the truth: real estate isn’t just about contracts and closing dates. It’s about solving problems, creating opportunities, and connecting with people—sometimes over coffee, sometimes at events, and occasionally while holding hedge trimmers.
This week reminded me why I love this work: every day is different, every client has a story, and every property has potential.
So whether you’re buying, selling, or investing, I’m here to make things happen. And I promise—I’ll never let your “For Sale” sign get lost in the trees. 😉✨
